This catalogue contains entries for books, manuscripts, sound recordings, and other collection items administered by the Music History Division of the Czech Museum of Music.

An important part of the catalogue comprises entries for library items (including library items belonging to particular collections), i.e. books, periodicals, and electronic documents. Included in the database is the Music History Division’s important collection of librettos. The catalogue also includes entries for manuscript and printed music, aural documents (mainly compact discs), correspondence, and graphic materials from the collections of the Music History Division.

The catalogue is augmented on an ongoing basis with entries for newly-catalogued items and items that have been recatalogued.

Ordering items for study.

Items can be ordered only for study in the study room of the Czech Museum of Music at the address Karmelitská 2, Prague 1 – Lesser Town (Malá strana).

Important for ordering a document is its call number, which can be found in the section of each entry called ‘svazky’ (meaning ‘volumes’). In the case of books and periodicals give their ‘placement’ rather than the call number.
